The Ca’ dei Mandorli wine reflects both the true characteristics
of its origin and a philosophy: considering wine as a product of a
territory that hai its best expression in the vineyards and their
grapes.
The names of the Ca’ dei Mandorli’s wines come from the
vineyards where the grapes are grown; these names have been found
in old cadastral maps or in the memory of the metayers that keep all
the charm of long standing traditions: “La Bellalda”,
perhaps referring to a pretty peasant girl, has always produced Barbera;
“Rujà”, exposed to the dew, produces Dolcetto;
“Dei Giari”, gravely land, provides the Moscato; “Pian
dei Ronchi”, a plateau populated by people called Ronchi, is
Chardonnay; and the “Donne dei Boschi”, a most fanciful
name for the women working in the spinning mill, is a Brachetto vineyard..

Our
vineyard is located on a south-west facing hill, in the heart of the
Gavi DOCG production area, in a magnificent natural amphitheater.
In this area, the sun shines uninterruptedly all day long and its
grapes are carefully grown in order to reach the right level of ripeness
and yield. From these grapes we create our Gavi DOCG according to
special winemaking techniques which favour the extraction of more
distinct and delicate aromas.
It shows its personality both in colour and in bouquet, with scents

the acidity is balanced by a remarkably sweet fruit taste.
Our
Dolcetto d’Acqui boasts a history of nearly 50 years. The grapes

of this traditional grape variety. It is the classic wine to enjoy

weather conditions, to about 10,000 bottles.

the Bellalda vineyard. Bellalda is the name of the plateau situated

been associated with a Barbera vineyard full of attractively juicy
bunches of grapes, which are now richer in volume thanks to low yields
